The First Annual Bergen County Irish Festival
Saturday, June 28th, 2014
Special praise goes to our sponsors and donors who recognized the appeal of Irish American culture and the commitment of the Council and whose generosity made our success on June 28th possible.
The Festival was possible due to the hard work and commitment of our member associations who provided many areas of entertainment, sports, and activities and volunteered for many of the functions needed to run the Festival. We have been blessed with the participation of volunteers who have no affiliation with our associations but wanted to be part of the day. The thank you list goes on...the New York GAA Minor Board and the Hoboken and Rockland Hurling Clubs; the many area Irish pubs and restaurants who sent their bartenders to add authenticity to the bar areas; our food and product vendors who took a chance on an unknown festival; the SMA Fathers and local clergy who again provided the support through the Mass that the Council has come to cherish; the Bergen County Parks Department and its many helping hands; the Bergen County Police and Holy Name Medical Center EMTs and the CERT Team who provided security, safety and an efficient parking system. The list goes on but the praise can never fully describe the importance of so many people who allow the Council to fulfill its mission and goals for Irish America.
The Festival program is here and gives a complete listing of our many generous sponsors and donors.
